Time to Give
Our volunteers gave over 6,500 hours participating in the ongoing programs of TACO.
TACO volunteers help prepare and serve meals twice a week. An average of 105 volunteer hours go in to the preparation of each meal. Occasionally, teen youth participants offer musical presentations during the meals. These special events are always especially appreciated by the guests.
Others help during the year on special projects such as the preparation of holiday food baskets during the Christmas season and personal hygiene kits for the homeless. Some visit sponsoring contributors of food items each week to gather bread, pastries, baked goods, and fresh produce.
Here are some ongoing volunteer jobs:
Preparing and serving meals
Set-up and clean-up for meals
Gathering other supplies and donations
Preparing personal hygiene kits
